YOUTH GROUP MEETING TIME
Regular meetings have resumed Sunday afternoons at 4 pm. Bring your friends and your bibles. Mark and Kimberly also teach the Senior High Sunday School class (9:15 am.), and Adam and Jessica Borneman teach the Junior High. Then plan to come out Wed. nights for prayer in a small group guided by teen leaders.

Periodically the Group will meet down at Curwin Circle on Sunday afternoons. Also, Mark and Adam organize some pick-up games on Sunday afternoons, heading down to Hood Park on sunnier days.

2006 YOUTH EVENTS

We recently attended several YouthWorx services at First Assembly and served our own church at the Work Day the first Saturday in May.

This year, we also went to see Leigh Trueira's and Caleb Wilfert's basketball games.

2005-6 YOUTH GROUP LEADERS
Mark Catlin became our Youth Director in Jan. 2005, and his wife Kimberly joined the leadership team at that time. They both come from Alabama and Mark is working on his M.Div. degree at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. The Catlins now lead Youth Group with Adam and Jessica Borneman (Adam is also in seminary).

RETREATS
For snow camp, we went back to back to Monadnock in Jaffrey NH along with the group from East Baptist the 1st week of Feb.

We previously had a great retreat weekend locally at the church the  first week Nov. Thank you to the Maillouxs, Trueiras and Richardsons who opened their homes to host. A service project was completed, and we studied Ephesians, sang, and played lots of games.

FORMER YOUTH DIRECTORS
We spent a few days with Nate Opsata when he came back out to New England last June with his now wife Jaynie. They married on May 27, 2006 and live in his home in Minneapolis. He also visited the previous summer to preach the morning sermon, take some of the teens camping and visit those up at Shiloh. Nates serves as the Youth Minister at the Twin City Chinese Christian Church (TCCCC) in Minneapolis, and you can also check out their Youth Page.

Matt and Kathy Eby flew back to join us at Snow Camp January 2004, and still live outside Chicago where Matt is finishing his doctoral studies. Nearly two years ago, Kathy Eby gave birth to a baby girl named Naomi Katherine (continue to pray for Naomi's kidneys to gain full function), and this year delivered a second daughter, Hannah Claire, born March 6, at 7 lbs. and 20.5 inches.
